About

Dr. Goodman is the director of CRIM and a clinical assistant professor. She previously worked for DPAA’s predecessor organizations, CILHI and JPAC, as a forensic anthropologist and CIL laboratory manager. She served as recovery leader and investigation team member in Laos, Vietnam, and Papua New Guinea.

 

Dr. Goodman has worked as an ORISE postdoctoral fellow at CILHI/JPAC, an adjunct professor at UIC, and lecturer at Central Texas College, teaching anthropology to deployed U.S. service personnel. In addition, Dr. Goodman has held many positions in academic administration. She worked in institutional research and in the office of the vice president of research at the University of Alaska, and in advancement at the University of Chicago where she served many roles, including director of prospect research, director of data privacy, and director of data governance and the project management office. Dr. Goodman has a BA in anthropology from the University of Washington and MA and PhD in anthropology from the University of New Mexico, where she received the Binford fellowship and a Latin American and Iberian Institute fellowship.
